We've come to notice that our senior sessions are increasing in popularity and now nearing capacity on the mat - particularly the 6:30PM Adults All Grades class on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
In light of this, and to ensure we can continue to provide safe, high-quality and beneficial sessions for all, we've made changes to how we offer judo to potential new members and have further expanded our class offering for our existing members. Please see below for details.
If you're looking to start judo, we are currently not offering drop-in trial classes for any of our existing senior judo sessions, however our next 6-week Beginners Judo Course of adults is scheduled to begin on April 22nd and has spaces available to book.
Our beginners course is the ideal way to begin your judo journey, as you'll receive hands-on expert coaching, learn alongside other adult beginners and cover all the fundamentals required to achieve your first grading to red belt. You can find out more information on the course and book your place by clicking the button below:
If you've done judo in the past, are already graded and would like to come along to the club for training, please get in touch with us regarding the options available to you.
For our existing members, we've added a new judo session for those graded from red to green belt (6th-3rd Kyu) which will take place at 6:30PM-7:30PM on Thursdays starting from 27th March. This session will be led by Nick and will build upon technical fundamentals and further support your progress throughout the kyu grade syllabus.
Beyond our core Adults All Levels and Dan Grade Randori sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings, we continue to have Skills & Drills on a Tuesday evening, Friday evening Newaza and Saturday afternoon Open Mat - allowing for the potential to participate in five days of judo a week.
For those looking to come along to the No-Gi Grappling class, you can still book a free trial session via our website.
You can find an updated timetable below, and if you have any questions regarding any of the above changes, please get in touch with us by sending an email to enquiries@edinburghjudo.com.
Thank you for your continued support,
